The Riding of Parry Sound-Muskoka consists of these major municipalities, Huntsville, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst Parry Sound, Muskoka Lakes ,Seguin, Lake of Bays, McDougall, Georgian Bay, Perry with a total population of about 85,000 people and an area of over 14,402 square kilometers. The two distinct districts, Parry Sound and Muskoka were only recently amalgamated into one electoral district giving such a huge geographical area to one Member of parliament, to represent.

Long known as a tourist region, with summer cottages and hunt camps located next door to graceful old Muskoka resorts, the region plays host to hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Whether it be Hollywood movie stars, NHL superstars or just plain old folk from the concrete jungles looking for a summer retreat, Parry Sound-Muskoka has something for everyone.
