PORT SEVERN, Ontario, June 20, 2009 — The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced a FedNor investment of $67,788 to support the development of a master site plan and urban design guidelines for Port Severn.
“I’m pleased to announce this funding to support the people and businesses of Port Severn,” said Minister Clement. “This targeted investment will help the community identify economic development opportunities in order to create jobs, and support the long-term growth and prosperity of our region.”
This initiative was identified as a priority by the community of Port Severn. It ensures they are well positioned to capitalize on immediate and future economic development opportunities related to the development of the downtown core and to support current commercial and residential development.
