Parry Sound Dragon Boat Races

It was a cool and cloudy day in Parry Sound on June 14 when local M.P., Tony Clement, joined the Rotary team for the 7th annual Dragon Boat festival.

Some 48 teams participate in the festival, including company teams, NGO teams and even family teams, each year. Each team has about 20 paddlers (and a minimum of 8 female paddlers, per team) as well as a “Drummer” and a “Steerer”.

The Rotary Club of Parry Sound teams up with the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation to organize this great annual event, with all proceeds staying entirely within the local area.
