Tony Clement attends official opening of the Ruth Dare Medical Clinic in Rosseau.
This impressive little clinic is the result of many years of hard work by the Dare family and many others in the area, fundraising in order to replace the “trailer” which was being used for emergency nursing care. The Dare family itself donated $210,000 to this project. The Dare family, cottaged in the area for about 50 years and recognized the need for better facilities.
Shortly after being elected, Tony Clement heard what was going on in Rosseau with the nursing station and championed its cause on the federal level for additional funding, Tony is pleased to have had some personal involvement in making this happen, along with the Dare family and many other hard working members of the community. When Tony was told of the opening ceremony, he cleared everything from his slate to ensure he was there.
